Description by the editorial board

Do you know the meaning of Ananas? It means pineapple in French. It’s also a symbol for abundance, hospitality and fun: exactly what you will find at Ananas! The Rock’s jazzy new brasserie is all about joie de vivre and cuisine à la française. Between an art deco-inspired restaurant and a late-night supper club, what’s not to like?
The food, fresh and cooked with traditional French methods (with an international dimension) is simply stunning – as well as the drinks list.
It’s THE place where we love to go for a copious Sunday brunch!
Feel like eating seafood? Oysters, Tasmanian scallop ceviche, dressed blue crab or king prawn cocktail will be perfect.

For the starters: breakfast pastry selection, organic yoghurt parfait, chicken liver parfait, French onion soup gratinée, organic tomato gazpacho, crispy scampi papillotes, steak tartare or yellowfin tuna carpaccio
There is also a wide variety of eggs to choose from: benedict, poached, poached with smoked salmon, spinach omelette, sunny side up…
The mains: French toast, fluffy ricotta crepe, mariniere style kinkawooka musseld, grilled chicken breast paillard, house blenc beef Patty burger… And other specialties!
